WEIRD

I have been tagged to list 6 weird things about me... only 6 ???

1. I am left-handed and my 3 teens and DH are also lefties.

2. I am an excessive worrier... not the big things, but the little things. I spend way too much time worrying and then solve the problem quickly BUT.... then I reach into my worry databank and add another one to the neverending worry list.

3. I have a strong dental phobia and have to be sedated when I go to the dentist's office.

4. I still own and use most of the furniture and dishes from my first apartment ... and I still love all of the pieces.

5. I taught myself to knit when I was in 2nd grade which was a feat because I was a leftie and had to do everything in the knitting book backwards.

6. Even though I strive to make my teens great drivers like me (HAH) the truth is I FAILED my first driving test.

Picture: the 4 barrel-back chairs are from my first apartment and the wicker screen was in my room as a child... told ya I am
a sentimental girl.

It's funny you're ALL lefties. Huh.

actually, it's not weird that you have three leftie children since your husband and you are both lefties.

being a leftie is a recessive trait, so you children didn't have a choice to be a lefties, it's a given. now, if your husband was right handed, or you, or both AND you had three leftie kids THAT would be weird.

okay. how weird am i that i just left you a lesson in genetics?

It's so unusual that you, your husband and children are all left-handed! The furniture is classically beautiful - how wonderful that you've kept it! Like you, I worry too much and have a phobia about the dentist. And wow, teaching yourself to knit in second grade was quite the feat!

It's probably easier that you are all left handed. It makes it easier when you sit down to eat because you're not always bumping elbows like my sister and I used to.

I'm a worrier too, it comes with having teenagers!

I love it that you taught yourself to knit at such a young age and backwards no less!

Love your room and its so sweet and cozy. I can just picture us sitting around the chairs drinking coffee and discussing how to get stains out of our slipcovers.
...or other juicy tidbits.

I knit and am left handed for most things except writing. I was taught to write right handed. You have unique individuals in your household since you are lefties.
I have been told that since I knit (as a lefty) my stitches are a bit tighter. Oh in a world of righties.
