These are a few of my favorite things...

We girls love to surround ourselves with family memories and treasures . Here are a few of the treasures I keep on the white bookshelves opposite the desk in my studio.
a few favorite design books

My mom's Sogetsu flower arranging items

Lunchbag..... very 60's

darling daughter's artwork

and my dear Daddy's pipes

I love having my favorite things all together in my creative space. What are a few of your favorite things you have kept ?

Seeing other's treasures reminds me of those things I have tucked away, waiting their turn for display. It's time to rotate again. Fat fluffy snowflakes outside the windows are daring me to find those spring memories.

Oh, and I had a wonderful lunch box like that!

ohhhhhhhhhhhhh what neat things! The pipe holder, grabbed my attention first. It looks like the Napolean III papier mache that they did in France?

love them all:) for me? the most cherished are old books, especially those that my loved ones held dear, the ones they signed and dated and even some that I just picked up:) and old photos, scattered all around my house some framed some just out for me to look at, my moms and my grams charm bracelets in my jewelry box and I'm sure more sentimental pieces will come along lifes way. Enjoy! xo

I love the pipes! Makes me think of my Daddy's pipes. I need to go Mother's and get those! I also love the poodle box! They just dont' make things like that any more... Tina

I have five of those books! Beautiful photo collage hon and I adore your daughters artwork. How perfect is that for your cottage home. I had an uncle who used to smoke a pipe and I luuuuv that smell.

Great post hon and I can just imagine you sewing a sipclover as your eye's travel around your heart felt room. It's like a hug from your room.
Perfect!
